How to photograph and walk around Montmartre
Montmartre staircase is photogenic
Montmartre is a must-see for art and photography lovers. Montmartre was once an artist's village where artists such as Picasso, Modigliani, Utrillo, and Toulouse-Lautrec gathered.
Place du Tertre still retains this tradition and is said to be "the most artistic square in Paris."
(↓ See the blog for a report on the shoot and more details~)
I should mention here that the stairs to get there are very steep.
In particular, the Rue Foyatier, famous for its movie locations, has more than 220 steps. To be exact, it has 222 steps and a height difference of 36 meters.
This staircase is 100 meters long and 12 meters wide, but if we calculate... 36 meters ÷ 222 steps = about 16.2 cm/step (estimate)
While this is within the standard range for the kick-up (height of one step) of a typical staircase, the long, long distance of 222 steps over 100 meters results in a considerable cumulative steepness.
Be careful not to climb all the way up because you don't want to be thought of as soft.

Not because of that, but I went up from a different staircase. The stairs on Rue Maurice Utrillo Utrillo, probably near the Amour Wall.
There are many other staircases, all photogenic.
Let me summarize the staircase like a maniac.

Photo Spot and Walking Directions
I personally recommend this walk.
(1) Take a photo at the all-too-famous "Wall of Amour" (Le Mur des Je t'aime).
(Couples point at each other and take pictures of each other saying I LOVE YOU in their favorite language.)

(2) Climb the stairs of Rue Maurice Utrillo (while taking a break and taking pictures with the graffiti on the wall)

(3) Arrive at Place du Tertre. Take a lot of pictures.

(4) Walk along the street stretching straight south from the square in front of the Sacré Coeur temple, and take a few pictures at the observation point overlooking the city of Paris at the back of the front.

(5) Go around and take a picture of Basilique du Sacré-Cœur from the park side.

(6) We went around to the front courtyard to take a picture. We enjoy the view of the city of Paris with many tourists for a while.

(7) Walk down the steps of Rue de Steinkerque for a while and, if you are interested, play a little with fabrics in the market street of fabric shops.
