Founding and history


October 2011
The Hiroshima Girls' Camera Club was established in Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City. The first five members were Mariko Akimoto, the representative.
March 2017
In order to take on photography jobs, the Photo Communication Lab was established with five photographers. Representative: Mariko Akimoto
Opened an atelier in Yokokawa, Nishi-ku, Hiroshima. At the same time, moved the photography office. April: Started "Yubijuku Hiroshima".
The Hiroshima Girls' Camera Club now has over 200 members.
June 2018
Studio Tales (photography service) begins in Toshima, Saeki Ward
November 2019
Representative Mariko Akimoto (CEO of Promos Japan Co., Ltd.) moves to Okinawa to co-create a business with Thanks Lab Co., Ltd.
Earth Photo Project begins
July 2023
Hosted an art furoshiki exhibition at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris
April 2025
Hiroshima Girls' Camera Club, Studio Tales, and Earth Photo Project merged.
Started photo sessions in France and Okinawa

Studio Tales and Atelier Foco renovation work

In 2017, a three-story old house in Yokokawa, Nishi Ward, was renovated and used as an atelier and rental space.
In 2018, an office and studio was established in Toshima, Saeki Ward.

Hiroshima Girls' Camera Club and the current Studio Tales

2011年、広島市佐伯区にて「ひろしま女子カメラ部」を発足しました。(代表者:秋元万里子)
2019年以降は代表者の仕事関係での移住に伴い、沖縄を拠点に「写真の自由な表現」の探求や実践を行う為の活動を行っています。
From 2023, I will be studying photographic expression, workshops, exhibitions, etc. in France, while also planning and holding photographic expression workshops, exhibitions, and seminars in Okinawa and Hiroshima.

A photo blog based in three locations: Okinawa, Paris, and sometimes Hiroshima
