ABOUT Photo Session
"A Photographer's Little Walk in Paris"
Mariko introduces everyday photographs taken by Eryck, a photographer living in Paris, with accompanying words.
"From Okinawa with love"
Mariko photographs and records the little discoveries she encounters in Okinawa and moments from her daily life.
This photo session is
It all started with daily scenes sent to us by a photographer.
One day, Eryck, a photographer living in Paris, suddenly said to me, "I'd like to take your picture in Paris."
Since then, he has continued to send me pictures of ordinary scenes from Paris every morning.
In the city through the camera, there are signs of life that are not listed in tourist guides,
Each piece felt like a little poem.
"I'm sure this will touch someone's heart."
With this in mind, I decided to start compiling my photos into a blog.
Me in Okinawa and Eryck in Paris.
Even though we were far apart, we were able to connect with each other through photos and a few words.
This blog is available to everyone, anywhere in the world.
This is also a small challenge on my part, as I believe I can share the "warmth," "space," and "lingering feeling" that people feel.
No big story needed.
A street corner, the color of the sky, someone's gestures. That's all we need to connect with each other.
A photo proposal for this blog
About this Photo Session Blog
This photo session began with a simple gesture:
a photographer friend in Paris started sending me his daily view.
Eryck once told me, “I'd love to photograph you in Paris.”
Since then, he's shared moments from his city — not the landmarks, but the quiet corners, the unnoticed details.
Through his lens, Paris becomes a silent poem, a moving stage of everyday life.
I felt it would be a shame to keep these only to ourselves.
So from Okinawa, I began collecting and sharing them in this blog.
Even across countries and languages, we found a way to connect — through light, movement, emotion.
This project is a quiet attempt to say
we are united by the things we feel.
A street corner, a fleeting glance, a pale sky…
Sometimes, images speak when words cannot.
