This article is about my business trip to Paris and a photo session there.
In this blog, you will also meet Eryck, a Paris-based photographer who kindly guided me around the city.
It was an extremely hot day—so hot that weather warnings had been issued—and I’m sure he must have been exhausted as well. Still, he showed me many hidden photo spots that only a local photographer would know. I’ll share them little by little.

We walked all the way around the Eiffel Tower, photographing it from various angles.
If you capture beautiful images of Paris’s symbol, good things may happen later.
Because the position of the sun and the background change depending on where you stand, you can enjoy many different expressions of the tower—and sometimes discover unexpected perspectives.
Yes! We found a small flower field. I crouched down and somehow managed to frame it just within the composition.
It was just before 1:00 p.m. I like backlighting, but the sunlight was so strong that I could barely tell whether the images were properly exposed. I really wished I had a viewfinder.
Since I was carrying a lot of luggage, I only brought my Panasonic GF5, which I bought quite a while ago, and my Ricoh Theta. Next time, I would like to bring more serious equipment.
Still, I enjoy shaping the images later according to my own preferences.
